TASK FIVE: Initial Ideas

Initial Ideas

Initially I created a keynote presentation with different transitions and animation effects to show our initial ideas for our opening sequence in a creative and more interesting way. However, since I had already automatically scheduled the timings of transitions and slides, I decided it was easier and more convenient to export it as a Quicktime Movie. I also added suspenseful music as a soundtrack so that the experience of watching our task is more exciting. After doing so, I uploaded this to YouTube via Ananda's account where all of our previous videos have been posted.

TASK FOUR: Inspiration from Real Media

TASK THREE: Mood Boards

Mood Boards

Here are some of the mood boards that we made to show the genre of film that we have chosen for our opening sequence. I have chosen these images for my mood board because I felt that these stand out and perfectly represent the genre, Horror. I have included pictures from programmes such as American Horror Story, films like Friday the 13th, Carrie, Insidious, Scream, Nightmare on Elmstreet, Psycho, and the Grudge. I also included horror books such as Stephen Kings, The Shining and The Exorcist.
- Ananda

Here in my mood board (Issey) I have chosen a range of images that have influenced me and my group to chose the genre of horror for our opening sequence. I have chosen a base of quirky unique images some from well known TV programmes such as America Horror story. These images are creepy and show the different types of horror that Ananda has shown in her mood board. When getting inspiration for our opening sequence we can refer back to our mood board for ideas to inspire our opening sequence.
- Issey

In my mood board I have included different types of media in the horror genre that I think will influence our opening sequence. The images I have included are from books, newspaper articles, films, TV programmes and CCTV footage of haunted houses. The overall theme of my mood board is horror however unlike Ananda and Issey I have chosen dark, dull coloured images as this is how we would like our opening sequence to be shot- with dark low key lighting and shadows.
- Tia

We created these mood boards using a landscape blank page on word and copying and pasting our favourite images from the internet.

TASK TWO: Opening Sequence - what must we include?

Opening Sequence - what must we include?

Here we filmed a blog on our phone to explain what is it we want to include in our opening sequence. Having a clear plan will benefit us in the future when we come to filming our opening sequence the process will be a not quicker and easier because we would of had it all planned out.
